Ecobricking

Girl Scout Troop 30499; Silver Award Project idea.

Mission of the project

Educate others and make Ecobricks to build a structure (to be decided) by our group of Girl Scout friends.

Make a difference in our community & earn the Silver Award—one of the highest awards

in Girl Scouting after 50 individual hours of work on the project.

  1. Review the information below.

  2. Click here to go to the Assignments page and watch the videos, read the articles, then take the quiz for an hour of credit towards the project.

  3. After the team decides the size of bottles to stuff; save, wash & dry a bottle for your first Ecobrick.

TWO LITER BOTTLES are our bottle of choice!!

  1. Start saving chip/snack bags, amazon packaging (bubble wrap, deflated air packs), cleaned ziplocks, produce bags, cleaned plastic straws, and single-serve plastic wrappers (granola bars, fruit snacks) and make sure they are clean & dry.
